The 2003 Toyota Camry did not come with an AUX input on any trim level and there was no option to add one from the dealership. When this vehicle came out AUX port were relatively rare as the mp3 player craze had not yet fully taken shape. If You want to add one to Your vehicle You're going to need to purchase an after market kit and they range in price from $50 to $150. You'll need to have a bit of experience with electronics and wiring in order to install it.

A head unit can be purchased aftermarket, but the 2003 Toyota Camry does not come equipped with auxiliary input

No, but that can be easily and cheaply remedied with an aftermarket head unit.
