The 2007 Chevy Malibu does come equipped standard with a cabin air filter. It is fairly easy to find and replace. First, You will need to go to the passenger side of Your vehicle. Then, remove the glove box. You will find the filter behind the compartment. If You need to replace the filter, You can expect to pay between $8 and $33 at most automotive retail locations, as well as big box retailers and online reputable websites for car parts. First, check for clogging and dirt on the filter itself, if it needs to be replaced, remove the old filter and discard it before inserting the new one. Finally, replace the glove box, and make sure it is secure.

The 2007 Chevrolet Malibu has a cabin air filter is behind the glove box. However, it is usually not there and you wind up using one from another similar model.

I have a 2007 Chevy Malibu 2.2 engine. My blower motor resistor burned out. Replaced the blower motor and resistor but same thing happened again. Fan motor only worked on high speed. Looked for a cabin air filter to see if that was the cause but could not find one behind the glove box. Some say the 2007 doesn't have one. Anybody know for sure?
