Your 2007 Ford Expedition does not have a cabin air filter. Vehicles without cabin air filters typically have a plastic mesh that prevents leaves and other foreign objects from entering the HVAC system. This mesh is part of Your vehicle and is not meant to be changed.

The 2007 Ford Expedition cabin air filter varies by models, some will have others do not. If it is equipped with a cabin air filter, it will be on the passenger side under the glovebox. The cabin air filter element is designed to reduce the concentration of airborne particles such as dust, spores and pollen in the air being supplied to the interior of the vehicle.
