The 2008 GMC Sierra came with an optional remote start system on the top trim option in the vehicle. This remote start system works with the stock remote that came with the vehicle. A remote start system is a good option to have if You live in a place that is very hot or very cold. It can let Your truck either cool down or warm up so that it is more comfortable to get into. Remote start is also good to have because it can get Your engine up to operating temperatures before You drive off. This can help reduce the wear and tear on Your engine because You will not have to run it cold which can wear down components.

Yes, the 2008 GMC Sierra can be available with emote start. It's an option on the SLE1 in the Preferred Package, SLE2 and SLT trims but comes standard on the Denali. It's not available on the Work Truck or SL trims.

Remote start is an available option on the 2008 GMC Sierra. According to other owners, it is best to replace the factory OEM remote start system with an aftermarket one due to issues with the OEM system. The biggest issue is lack of range-less than 50 feet from the vehicle and it not working.
