Isofix is a universal standard for rear child seat restraints. It is known as the "Universal Child Safety Seat System" and in the US it is referred to as "LATCH" and "LUCAS" in Canada. The 2009 Ford Focus comes equipped with Isoffix screw holes and it should be installed in the rear seat that is viewable to the driver. In the UK this translates to the left side of the interior and in the United States "LATCH" is placed on the rear right side. IsofixBrackets can easily be installed by the driver. Lift the back cushion to reveal 2 tan colored plugs. The plugs pop off to reveal the screws needed for installing the "LATCH" frame.
