Does the 2010 Audi A3 have a timing belt or chain?

The 2010 AudiA3 comes with a timing chain on the engine. This is better than a timing belt in my opinion because it will not need to be replaced. One of the most expensive regular maintenance items that You will need to do is a timing belt replacement every 60,000 to 100,000 miles. When You have a timing chain it should be able to last over 300,000 miles without changing. You should still check Your chain at least once a year to make sure that it is free from debris and is not loose. You should also still change Your water pump every 100,000 miles to make sure that it keeps coolant flowing through Your engine.
