The 2010 Volvo XC60 t6 has the benefit of a timing chain, rather than a timing belt, to keep its system running smoothly. With a belt, it would need to be checked and changed for wear and tear every 10,000 miles, or 12 months, whichever happens to occur first. Since Your vehicle has a chain, however, it is expected to last for the entire lifetime of the vehicle. This can range from 150,000 to 200,000 miles, or up to 10 years. Many vehicles cover the life of the chain for ten years or so. If the chain does become broken, You will need to pay between $148 and $395 for a new one.
