The 2012 Ford Fiesta has a manifold absolute pressure (map) sensor and it is located on or around the intake manifold. The sensor is responsible for calculating the engine load, which means it helps to determine how much air to fuELRatio needs to be in the engine. If the sensor has gone bad then You will find that the car is running rich or lean, too much or too little fuel. This can lead to many issues, including shaking and rough driving, rough idle, decrease in power, surging, a fuel smell, and finally stalling while idle. This will over time also put a strain on Your engine and cause damage. If You get a trouble code telling You the senor is bad You need to address it. You can drive like this for a time, but it will catch up with You.

The 2012 Ford Fiesta has a manifold absolute pressure (MAP) sensor and it is located on or around the intake manifold. The MAP provides constant information concerning the amount of pressure inside the intake manifold.
