There is a cabin air filter on the 2013 GMC Sierra series. It is located inside the car on the passenger side, under the glove box. The cabin air filter in a vehicle helps remove harmful pollutants, including pollen and dust, from the air You breathe within the car. A clogged cabin air filter can lead to under-performance of the A/C system, causing weak airflow from the cabin vents. The air volume into Your passenger compartment will be continually reduced which will lead to the issue of foul odors inside Your car. Paper filters should always be replaced, never cleaned.

I’m not 100% sure yet, but the 2013 Sierra 1500 that I have does not have any cabin air filter under the passenger dash. I’ve taken both glove boxes out and the bottom plastic cover and there is no cabin filter there or under the Cowl near the windshield wiper. I’ve seen some Internet search that stated they discontinued cabin air filters in this vehicle in the early 2000s. Interesting though I see tons of YouTube videos replacing cabin air filters in these trucks. Stay tuned I’m calling the dealer tomorrow.

Why do people put blatantly false information out there? There is NO cabin filter on a 1500 Sierra extended cab truck. A $70-80 retro kit is needed to have a cabin filter.

There is a place for it to go, using an an add-on part, but it is not standard. A blank has to be cut out under the passenger dash..

Nope. My 2013 GMC 3500HD ain't got one either(or at least it's not accessible). The A/C has stopped consistently blowing cold air. First thing searches say is to "Clean the Cabin Filter". How the hell you suppose to do that if you don't have one! Seems like every time we hit a bump, it phases in or out. Pulled console out(not off) from around radio and climate control(just to check wires) and stays cold. What gives?🤔
Yes. And according to Ji**y Lu8e, it will kill your family if you don't change it. Lol

I took it all apart as well, and there is NOT a cabin air filter. You can see a spot where it would be based on videos I have watched, but mine was definitely NOT equipped with one.

My 2013 Sierra does not have a cabin air filter. A retrofit needs to be installed for it to have an air filter
