The 2014 Ford Explorer is not known to have any more battery problems than any other vehicle on the road. Batteries in vehicles are considered to be a consumable part so they will usually need to be replaced every 4 to 6 years depending on how often You use Your car. If You are having excessive battery draw then You will want to do an electrical system test. The easiest way is to use a fuse probe while the vehicle is turned off to determine if any circuits are drawing power. Usually the source of a battery drain is a third party accessory or a light that is stuck on.
