From the factory, the 2014 GMC Acadia comes with HID headlights, but only in certain configurations. If You're fitted with HID bulbs, You'll use HID-D3S or HID-D3S LED bulbs in each of the low beam and high beam headlamps. If You're instead fitted with regular bulbs, You'll use 9012 or 9012 LED bulbs in their place. The advantages of an HID bulbs are numerous, including greater luminosity, longer life, and lower energy consumptions. If You can deal with the slightly blue tint of the HID bulbs, and especially how it scatters more with water droplets in the case of rain or dense fog, You'll often find You'll fall in love with the headlights; I know that I certainly have, as the advantages outweigh the drawbacks.
