The 2017 Chevy Traverse does come with Apple CarPlay available as an option if You get the infotainment system upgrade. CarPlay is a great system that can allow You to access apps from Your phone on the touch screen in Your dash. The system also has access to Siri so You can use that to handle the voice control features in Your car rather than the one that comes from Chevrolet. Apple CarPlay will connect to Your iPhone either using the USB cable, or wirelessly over bluetooth. In general this can give You a better user experience than the stock infotainment system since You will have access to more maps and apps.

Apple CarPlay has become more of a draw to consumers in the last few years. Many manufacturers have chosen to include it in their connectivity options as it allows for a more complete interaction with the iPhone through the vehicle. The Traverse does not have Apple CarPlay. It does, however, have Bluetooth standard and a variety of other connectivity and entertainment options.
