The 2017 Ford Escape is offered with GPS as an option, but it is a subscription service through Ford. If You are looking for a built-in GPS then this will be Your only option, as the car will not allow You to download any other apps to use as GPS. That said if You connect Your phone via bluetooth then You can use it as a GPS.To make use of this system You will first need to make sure that Your phone or laptop is able to connect to bluetooth. This will be a little different for each model of phone or laptop. Once this is done You will need to go into the menu of the car system and look for the connectivity or devices option. Once You have done this You will find all the devices near You, including Your own. Once You have done this You will need to hit connect. It may take a moment but the phone or laptop and the car will now be paired up. Any media You play through the device will now play from the radio.

The Escape has a variety of connectivity options including Bluetooth and Apple CarPlay. Because of this, there is really no need for internal GPS. However, there is an option to add it for $795. If your phone is connected and you choose the navigation, it will automatically go through your phone navigation.
