The 2018 AudiA5 does not have an auto trunk opener. There are three ways to go about opening the trunk on the car. To start You can use the keys and insert them into the lock on the back of the trunk. This is the traditional way of doing this. The other option that You have is to use the button on the inside of the cab of the car. Look for the button with an open trunk icon on it. Press this and You will open the trunk. If this does not work then the fuse is bad and needs to be replaced. Finally, You can use the button on the key fob itself. This will open the trunk from range and should work even in the house. Technically there is a fourth way to do this. If You get locked inside the trunk there will be an emergency release lever near the front left of the turn, behind the carpet.

Yes, the 2018 Audi A5 has a hands-free, automatic trunk opener comes standard on all trim configurations. The hands-free trunk opener works from a sensor on the bottom of the rear bumper. Wave a foot underneath the and the trunk will open automatically. You must have your key fob for the hands-free function to work
