The 2018 Buick Enclave does come standard with start stop. This system is designed to improve fuel economy by turning off the engine whenever You are stopped at a red light, or in traffic. This prevents the engine from wasting fuel while idling while You sit. The auto start stop system in Your Enclave cannot be turned off unfortunately. GM has decided that they do not want to give owners the power to override the system so that they can reduce the overall carbon emissions. There are third party solutions on the market that can disable the system, but none of them are endorsed by General Motors.

Oh yes you can override the start stop system on the 2018 Buick Enclave. After starting the car shift the transmission into manual mode and notice in the instrument cluster that it shows it is in first gear. Now use either the paddle shifter or the plus and minus buttons on the shifter to shift the transmission into 9th gear. Now it will shift automatically through the gears and will not shut off at traffic lights or signs.

Yes the 2018 Buick Enclave has auto stop start technology, but it is only available on the high-end Avenir model. Even then it's part of an options package. The environmentally friendly Stop and Go technology is one of the features of Buick's adaptive cruise control - basically shutting down the engine whenever the car is stopped and re-engage it when your foot comes off the brake. The options package also includes automatic emergency braking, pedestrian detection and adaptive suspension.
