The 2018 Dodge Durango does come from the factory with a CD player installed. The player is located in the center console because the in dash head unit needs as much space as it can get for the display. The player will play CDs, DVDs and Blurays but You can not watch the video on the front screen, just hear the Audio. Many people no longer want a CD player installed because they will never use it and would much rather have the extra storage space in the center console. The unit can be removed and a replacement storage bin without the hole in it can be purchased from the dealer. There is a downside to uninstalling the factory unit, the rear USB ports get their power from the harness that plugs into the player and when You remove it they will no longer function.

Yes, the 2018 Dodge Durango does list an optional CD player on all models. But it appears to be an add-on or accessory and not part of a package. Ask for the details at the dealership, but if it looks too pricey, you can buy a simple CD player with a headphone jack and run that through your vehicle's speaker system by using the auxilary jack.
