The 2018 Lexus RX350 doesn't have Apple CarPlay. You will come into difficulties with the sound. This might be from the stereo's speakers or a phone that is connected to the vehicle. Whatever the source, You will need to have these issues fixed pronto. If the problems are from the stereo's speakers, it could be static sounds, randomly turns off, a loose wire, or a blown fuse. If the problems are coming from the phone, it could be that the software won't update, the device will not sync with the vehicle, the phone's battery is almost dead, or an object is blocking the signal.

In the beginning of 2018 Lexus vehicles did not come with Apple CarPlay. As of September 2018, Lexus has intentions to equip their vehicles with Apple CarPlay moving forward, but that will be for the 2019 models. There are some 2018 models that have Lexus Multimedia System upgrade available to them, which would in effect give the vehicle CarPlay, but the RX 350 is not one of them.
