Nissan does recommend that You use synthetic oil in Your 2018 Nissan Rogue. You should use SAE 0W-20 oil when You need to change it as well and it will take 4.9 quarts to completely fill. Oil comes in two major varieties, conventional and synthetic. Conventional is petroleum based, and synthetic is engineered in a lab to give You better protection for Your engine. Synthetic will last longer than conventional too, meaning You should only need an oil change every 7,500 miles compared to 3,500 to 5,000 miles with conventional. I recommend checking Your oil at least once a month to make sure that Your oil is in good condition and free from debris.

0w-20 is the viscosity of oil that the 2018 Nissan Rogue uses. The Rogue 2.5 liter S, the SL, the SV, and the 2.0 liter SL Hybrid and the SV Hybrid all use 4.9 quarts of synthetic oil.
