The 2018 Volvo XC60 is fitted with a remote start button as specified by the manufacturer. Since they still use the key to initiate the ignition, the push-button start is not available. The remote start can be used while You are not inside the SUV to start the vehicle with the key fob. You can press and release the lock button on the RKE transmitter to use the remote start feature. To be able to remotely start the engine the car must be locked and the bonnet closed. You can then follow these directions: Briefly press on the key's button (2). Follow this immediately afterward with a long press that is at least 2 seconds long on button (3). This should allow You to start the vehicle remotely.

This is actually not true at all. Unless I am completely missing something, there is no remote start on my 2018 Volvo XC60 T6 Momentum. It DOES have a keyless fob to start the vehicle when I am inside the vehicle. But this is not a remote start. The only remote start that is available, is to have a subscription to the Volvo On Call app, or whatever it is called. So, if I am missing something, please correct me. But if I am not missing anything, don’t say that this feature comes standard on all trims. Because that, to my knowledge, is not true!

This is not true. My 2018 XC60 T6 Momentum does NOT have a remote start. Now, if you are somehow confused with a remote start to a keyless fob…yes, I have a keyless fob. But the fob does not have a function to start the vehicle without me inside the vehicle. The only way to accomplish this is if I pay for a subscription for the Volvo Car App/Volvo On Call App.
