The 2019 Honda Ridgeline comes with a 3.5 L V6 engine that uses a timing belt rather than a chain. While many of the more modern engines coming out use chains now, the belts are still getting some use. People tend to argue about which is the better option all the time but they do have their pros and cons. With the belt You're eventually going to need to replace it unlike the chain that can last for the life of Your vehicle. It's usually recommended that the belt should be replaced every 60,000 miles or so and this applies mostly to people that drive in either really hot or cold conditions. If You don't deal with extreme weather You can probably go 100,000 miles without replacing it. -
