The 2019 Jeep Cherokee comes standard with a start stop system on the vehicle. This is designed to help increase the fuel efficiency in Your SUV. Whenever Your vehicle comes to a full stop when this feature is enabled then Your engine will turn off. As soon as You let Your foot off the brake and press the accelerator it will automatically start it again. This helps reduce the amount of fuel that is burnt while You are stopped and idling. This can usually save You money in the long run because You will wind up burning less fuel. It is becoming very common on a lot of different vehicles because it helps reduce carbon emissions.

Stop/start is a fuel saving technology in some modern vehicles that shuts the engine off while you're idling. For stop/start to engage, the brake pedal must be fully depressed, the car must be in a forward moving gear and, as the name of the function would suggest, the vehicle must be at a complete stop. A green light in your Cherokees dashboard will appear and the message "stop/start autostop activate" will let you know that your vehicle is currently in stop/start mode. Stop and Go, as its called for the Jeep brand of vehicles, is equipped on all trim levels of the 2018 Jeep Cherokee.
