Whether Your Acura has a timing chain or a timing belt will depend on what model and year it was made. Most Acura vehicles made after 2007 will come with a timing chain. These chains are meant to last up to 250,000 miles so You should not have to have them repaired if Your vehicle has one. If You have a model with a timing belt You can expect to change it out between every 60,000 and 100,000 miles.

Most late model Acura's have timing chains instead of timing belts, although the V6 version of the RL, TL, TSX, MDX and the ZDX have belts.
