The Ford Escape moonroof has been known to have problems in the past. Frequently they have been known to have problems opening or closing. Usually this is a problem with the switch for the moonroof. Another problem that could prevent Your moonroof from opening is if there is a problem with the actual moonroof motor that opens and closes it. These can be caused either by actual motor problems, or a blown fuse to the motor. The third most common problem with the moonroof are failed gaskets. These gaskets failing can lead to increased road noise, and have a potential to let water into the vehicle if it is raining. Keep an eye on the gaskets to make sure they are in good shape.

The ford escape is known to have moonroof problems. It sometimes gets stuck open or doesn't work at all. It is typically the moonroof switch that needs replaced to fix this problem.
