The Ford F-150 transfer case problems are trouble shifting gears and grind sounds. The transmission fluid needs to be replaced every 30,000 to 60,000 miles. Along with fluid changes, terrible sounds will come from the transmission. Old transmission fluid will be awful to the ear. A worn out torque converter will cause a headache. The transmission is one of the most crucial parts of the vehicle. You will come into issues at some point. Delayed shifts will cause acceleration issues. The transmission might slip. You could experience shudders. Hard shifts could arise and that is not good. There may be jerking. The gears might become stuck. If the transmission fluid leaks, that needs to be fixed quickly.

Have had increasing difficult getting the transfer case into natural for towing wheels down behind the motorhome. First few times no problem, then started requiring repeating the steps several times. Last attempt took 14 attempts to finally get the message, "Neutral Tow Enabled". Finally successful I hit the road. Arrived at destination to find both transmission and transfer case toast. Either I got a false indication of the transfer case did not remain in Neutral. Wondering if this is a common problem or if I got the one off lemon. Of course Ford says I did not put transfer case in neutral therefore no warranty with 4,700 miles on the vehicle.

The ford f150 transfer case problems are shifting problems and four-wheel drive wouldn't work.
