The Ford Transit's automatic gearbox has been known to produce grinding sounds and cause stalling when accelerating from a stop for drivers. In most Transit cases, transmission and gearbox problems are solved by replacing the clutch master cylinder. The Transit's "automatic" shifting is really implemented by a auto shifting manual box that's controlled by the CSC. The CSC is responsible for moving pressure plates that help disengage the clutch from the engine. The Transit has experienced problems with its factory installed CSC and updated the part. A faulty master cylinder will allow air leaks into the gearbox due to failing seals and cause a spongy clutch pedal, an inability to shift gears and noises from the transmission. The cost to replace the Transit's master cylinder ranges from $300-$350 in parts and labor.
The ford transit automatic gearbox problems are transmission failure and not shifting correctly.

The box will not change all gears in drive but if I change manual it will change with full revs.
