The most common problem with the turbo system in a Ford Transit is usually caused by an oil pump problem. When the turbos do not get enough oil it will cause excessive wear and tear on the bearings and make them wear out faster. The turbo on Your engine works like a compressor to increase the pressure of the air in the engine to increase the compression and make more horsepower and torque. This is done by driving a fan using the exhaust gasses from Your engine. The fan has bearings on them and they need to stay lubricated to keep working. If they lose oil then the most likely outcome is that the bearings will fail and break the turbo.

If you're experiencing a problem with the turbo boost in your ford transit, try checking all the hoses before assuming the turbo system needs replaced. Blocked or faulty air flow could be causing the problem and loss of turbo power.
