Does the Nissan Altima have a diesel engine?

The Nissan Altima does not have a diesel engine option available for any of the trim levels available. In 2019 Nissan did introduce a VC turbo engine that produces diesel-like emissions but it is not a diesel. The motor has great performance with the most horsepower and driving experience available for the 2019 Nissan Altima. The engine is turbocharged and it puts out an impressive 236 horsepower and 267 lb -ft. Of torque. The engine is also very fuel-efficient with an EPA estimated fuel economy of 34 MPG on the highway. This is A4Cylinder engine but has great performance that can outduel even some of the higher v6 engine models and it is only available for the SR trim level Altima.
