A Nissan Dualis manufactured from 2006 to 2013 is likely to have a timing chain with one exception. The 1.5 L K9K I4 diesel engine has a timing belt but the four other available engines use a chain. If You do have one of the engines that uses a chain then You are fortunate enough to not have to perform any direct maintenance on it as they're built to last. The best thing You can do to guarantee that the chain stays working properly is to change Your oil at the correct times. If You skip an oil change and start running low the chain can lose its lubrication and break which can lead to expensive repairs. -
