To change the brakes on the 2016 Ford Explorer, watch: https://www.Youtube.com/watch?v=h_twGXMWNOQ Your brakes need to be in the best condition. Having faulty brakes will lead into issues. A loose bearing can make for bad stops. The brakes can lock up, which will result in wrecks. Screeching sounds can arise from low brake fluid. Bad brake pads will result in problems with the vehicle coming to a halt. Premature brake wear is an issues that needs to be addressed. Brake equipment will become old and will need to be replaced at some point. The brake pads and shoes need replacing every 50,000 miles. The brake rotors need to be changed every 60,000 miles. The brake fluid needs to be changed every 20,000 to 45,000 miles.

To change the breaks on a ford explorer you should follow these steps: raise and support the vehicle on jack stands. Remove the front wheels. Open the bleeder. Spread the brake pads apart by compressing the brake caliper piston back into its bore. Remove the two bolts that run through the caliper and remove the caliper. Remove the brake pads. Install the new brake pads. Lay the new pads face down and apply the anti-squeal. Install the caliper over the brake pads, install the two through-bolts and tighten. Put the wheels on and lower the vehicle.

What happens when you take the caliper bracket off to replace the rotor. Then reinstall the caliper bracket put on the new brakes and realize there’s no floating room and the brakes don’t fit ? This is for a 2016 ford explorer
