The 2017 Ford Fusion uses Dexron VI Transmission Fluid. It has a capacity of 10 quarts. Transmission fluid, similar to oil, is a lubricant and its purpose is to make sure that the various working parts of the transmission are not subject to damage from heat. To check the transmission fluid, wipe off the dipstick with a clean rag, insert the dipstick and remove it again to check the level. The cost of getting the transmission fluid changed on Your Fusion is between $110 and $130 for labor and parts are priced at $90. You should get Your transmission fluid changed every 150,000 miles. The signs that You need a transmission fluid change include a grinding noise coming from the transmission, problems shifting gears, slippage during gear shifts, sudden unexplained surges, and a delay in movement after You place the vehicle in gear.

I also have a 2017 fusion. It’s a sealed transmission so they don’t provide you with a dipstick. Personally, not the happiest about it as I like to do my own work on my cars.

You CANNOT check the fluid on a 2017 fusion, because it does not provide a dipstick. It’s a sealed transmission. Idk what these other people are talking about
Also the arm to the driver nob will come off if you need transmission fluid it’s crazy watch a YouTube video about it
