The check gauge light on Your Ford Ranger usually relates to a gas tank issue. The most common cause is low fuel, but it can also be related to temperature or oil pressure. This light illuminates when the engine coolant temperature is high, the engine oil pressure is low or the fuel gauge is at or near empty. The ignition must be in the ON position for this lamp to illuminate. The lamp will also illuminate for several seconds after the ignition is turned to the ON position. This is normal. A bad oil pressure sending unit is another common cause for this light to stay on.

That’s literally how it spelled on the indicator lamp. It says “Check Gage”. Also who tf cares? What are you the grammar police?

'Check gage' is what the idiot light on the dash says. Suggest you take your spelling corrections somewhere else.

It's not check gage it's check gage as gage is not a word!
