Checking the transmission fluid in Your 2008 Ford Escape Hybrid is very easy to do. It will only take around 6 to 9 minutes of Your time. First, go to the front of Your vehicle, and use the prop arm to securely open the hood. Next, look to the left, or passenger side, of the engine bay. You will see the transmission alongside the engine block. On top of the transmission, You should see a small dipstick in a reservoir. Pull it out, and wipe off the fluid. Now, re-insert it into the vial, and pull it back out. This will show You how high up the stick the fluid reaches. If it is too low, open the cap on the reservoir, and pour in more fluid.

The question is for a HYBRID not a standard motor. There is NO dipstick on the 2008 hybrid

To check the transmission fluid levels on your 2009 ford escape hybrid, locate the fluid reservoir under your hood inside the transmission and use the accompanying dipstick to measure low levels of transmission fluid.
