To check transmission fluid on a Chevy Spark, watch: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qQ-MOMI4EYU The transmission is one of the most important parts of the vehicle. You will come into problems at some point. You may experience shudders. Hard shifts could come up and that is not good. There might be jerking. The gears may become stuck. The transmission may slip. If the transmission fluid leaks, that needs to be solved quickly. Delayed shifts can cause acceleration issues. The transmission fluid needs to be replaced every 30,000 to 60,000 miles. Along with fluid changes, terrible sounds will come from the transmission. Old transmission fluid will be awful to the ear. A worn out torque converter will cause a headache.

I have a 2013 Chevy Spark. This has a “sealed transmission”.You have to go under the car and remove the check valve bolt thingy- not the drain plug.

None of these helped. I asked about a 2020 and i got a video for a 2015. I dont know what a pluggy thinging is and if i put it up on a lift and take the plug out and if oil comes out its full ?!! What plug am i to take out? If you dont know what your talking about dont make a comment and make yourself look like a dip stick !!!

Most transmission will have either a view port on the side of the container or you can insert a dipstick to check it.

If its a CVT transmission there is no dipstick. Best advice take it into a good mechanic and get the fluid changed. Have them look over everything and fix any leaks. Then with every oil change have the grease monkeys look for any leaks..and tell you about anything they see. Then if they find any leaks get them fixed fast. Do this and change the transmission fluid every 30k to 60k miles (50k to 100k km) and you will be able to gently get a lot of happy miles out of a CVT
