The easiest way to disable the door chime in the Ford Ranger PX2 Is to de-solder the electrical connection to the chime itseLFAnd remove it from the circuit board. To do this You will first need to remove the radio and the HVAC duct above it. Once they are out, look inside the opening and on the left side of where the radio was, there is a black box with an electrical connector on the front and one on the back. The box is held in with one Phillips head screw at the bottom, slide the unit down to free it from its slot. Take the back off of the module and find the buzzer. Heat the solder points with a soldering gun until the lead melts, and remove the buzzer.

PX2 has a setting in the MENU for the display panel, to do with alarms. Finally found this yesterday.

You will need to go into the console on the dash and find the disable option in the menus.
