The Ford Ranger security or anti-theft alarm system can sometimes be triggered by accident, not just by criminals. If Your alarm has been set off, it is easy to remedy. The first thing You will need to do is open the driver's side door, and get inside the vehicle. Next, make sure Your ignition is fully placed in the off position. This will ensure the securilock feature is shut off in Your vehicle. Now, turn it back to the on position, being careful not to actually start the engine. At this point, the securilock indicator light will reappear on the dashboard. It will remain lit for around 3 to 5 seconds, then it will go off. That indicates it has been reset.

To disable the alarm in a ford ranger take the following steps: examine the remote entry key and find the loudspeaker icon. Press this icon to turn on the personal alarm. This will sound the alarm. Press the loudspeaker icon one more time or put the key into the ignition and turn it to the "on" position to reset the alarm. Turn off the securilock feature by turning the ignition key to the "off" position. Turn it to the "on" position. Notice that the securilock indicator on the instrument panel will light up for three seconds then turn off. The securilock feature is now deactivated.

I think its more like HOW Do We Permanently DISABLE the Alarm For Ever! As In KILL It DEAD, The Future Totally and completely Sucks in older Ford Rangers. Pissed off at the Entire Auto Industry Currently. For sucking politicalass industry wide for over 2.5 Years. New cars are at Extortion Prices.
