To fixA coolant leak in the 2008 Ford Focus, the fix can be easy as long as Youre prepared. To be safe, You should only do this fix when the engine is cool. Youll also need gloves, safety glasses, a wrench, funnel and some shop towels, and a product like FiberLock to seal the leak . Find the coolant reservoir (front left under the hood, when standing in front of the car) and clean it off to make sure no debris falls in when You take the cap off. If You have a traditional cooling system with a radiator cap, You can add the sealant straight to the radiator. If not, You need to add it to the radiator hose by unlatching it and using a funnel to pour it into the hose. Now either re-attach the hose or close the cap and Youre all set. If You continue to experience leaks, it means that You have a major one and You should take the car in to be fixed by a mechanic.

If a 2005 ford focus has a coolant leak on the driver's side then it most probably has a problem with a loose cap of the coolant. Try pushing the cap harder or replace the cap.

On a 2008 ford focus if you notice a coolant leak on the driver's side the likely culprit is a coolant hose that runs from the block to the coolant tank.
