Beyond a typical cooling hose leak, a leak on the passenger side of a 2003 Ford Taurus can be because of a gasket on the back passenger side of the engine which faces increased wear due to high-temperature conditions. It can also be caused by a failing water pump.Your car's water pump takes water from the radiator and moves it through the motor back to the radiator, where the cycle begins again. It makes sure Your motor remains at a constant temperature, no matter the weather. The water from the radiator heats up as it makes its way through the motor.
