There is a bracket that keeps the battery in place on a Chevrolet Malibu, which can make it quite difficult to understand how You need to jump the car. Instead of removing this, it's possible to use a jump point, which is near Your battery but not on it. In order to do this, locate the positive jump point, which is slightly toward the passenger's compartment from Your battery. You'll find it under a red cover. If You don't see the cover, it's possible that it's broken off. Look for a small piece of metal (and cover it with something -- it's unsafe to leave exposed!). As for the negative, there's a stud You can use on the upper right side of the under-hood area, but You can find any grounded unpainted metal to serve as Your negative jump point.

It's as simple as jumpstarting other vehicles. Located the correct jump points and attach the cables and then jump the vehicle.
