When the alarm is not working properly in Your 2002 Mitsubishi Eclipse the first thing that You should do is try to reset it. Resetting the alarm is pretty straightforward and easy to do here. The frist thing that You will need to do is unlock the vehicle using the key fob and then place the key into the ignition. After that You should rotate it to the on position without starting the car until the security light turns off on the dash. Once that turns off go ahead and crank over the car. Once the car is running the security system has been reset. If that does not solve it then there may be a more serious body control module problem that will need to be addressed.
