To reset the alarm on the 2006 Kia Sedona You have two options. You can pop the hood and disconnect the positive battery cable, then leave it off for about 30 minutes. This will make the power in the CPU drain, which will force the system to reset itself the next time it comes on. The other option is to pull the fuse from the fuse boxAnd wait a similar amount of time. This will do the same thing but will be more targeted. If You pull the battery it will reset a lot of things. If You just pull the fuse then it will only rest the alarm, but You will need to look at the fuse diagram and figure out which fuse is correct.

To reset the 2006 kia sedona anti theft system you will need to close all the doors, roll up the windows, and then lock the door with the key in the driver's door and then let it sit for at least 10 minutes, then unlock it the same way.

Go to the relay block , disconnect the starter relay, place a jumper lead with a momentary switch in line between the 30 an 87 leads on the relay block. Then use the momentary switch to start the vehicle with the ignition switch on. This bypasses the anti theft module and delivers power directly to the starter. Once vehicle is started remove the jumper and momentary switch with the relay. Being that this is an intermittent issue throw the jumper into the glove box along with a flashlight.
