The purpose of the TPMS on Your 2009 Chevy HHR is to warn You that one or more tires is under-inflated which could produce premature tire wear, tire failure, and unsafe driving conditions. To perform a reset of the TPMS only takes a few moments. First, turn the ignition to the "ON" position without starting the vehicle and apply the parking brake. Press the "Info" button until You see "Tire Learn" displayed. Press the "Set/Reset" button until You can hear a double horn chirp which indicates that You are in learn mode. Now, increase or decrease each tire's air pressure until You again her a horn chirp. You have completed the procedure and the TPMS has successfully been reset.
