Resetting the alarm in Your 2009 Dodge Journey is a pretty straightforward process. You won't be able to start the engine while doing it and it can take up to three tries sometimes, so make sure Your battery is charged before beginning. Turn the key in the ignition as if You are trying to start the engine. It won't start. Allow the key to fall back into the ON position, so the dash lights and radio are on. Leave the key in the position with the doors and windows closed for 10 minutes. At this point, the light should blink and turn off. Wait for five seconds, and then try starting the engine. If it starts, the reset is complete. Otherwise, start the process over again.

To reset the 2009 dodge journey alarm unlock the driver's side door with the key and then lock it, and then unlock it again and the system should be cleared.
