In order to reset the check engine light on Your 2010 Mazda3 You will first want to sit in the passenger seat of the vehicle with the ignition off. Now You will want to press and hold the silver button located on the top right side of the instrument cluster. With this button still held down You need to turn on the ignition for the vehicle and wait a few moments. After 5 to 10 seconds You will see a flashing light for a few moments. Once this is done flashing You can let go of the button and turn the ignition off again. Now You can restart the vehicle and Your light should be cleared and You'll be ready to go on Your way.

With the car turned off, hold down the accelerator pedal, insert the key, and turn it 2 times (do not start the car.). The icons will light up. Wait 20 seconds. Do not release the pedal. When the check engine light starts blinking, turn off the car completely. Take out the key. Take your foot off the pedal. Then start the car. I got it the second time
