If You want to reset the oil light on the 2011 Hyundai Santa Fe, the process should only take a few minutes. The oil light on Your vehicle comes on when the ECU detects that the oil pressure is too low. What You would then have to do is check what the level of oil is. After You've seen how much is needed on the dipstick, add in oil a bit at a time to make sure You don't overfill the engine. After You're done, start the vehicle and drive around for a few minutes. The oil light should be able to turn off by itself once it detects there is enough oil pressure.

To reset the oil level warning or maintenance light in your 2011 hyundai santa fe turn your ignition key to the "on" position and depress the gas pedal slowly three times. Release and start your vehicle and oil light should indicate a reset.
