The oil maintenance light in a Subaru Legacy can be reset very easily. Simply put Your key into the ignition and set it to ON. This should turn on all the accessories, but not the engine. Once You can see that all of the accessories in Your car are turned on, press and let go of the gas pedal three times in quick succession. Make sure to avoid holding down the pedal for too long. After the third press, let go and start Your vehicle. If the oil light still hasnt reset, consider checking Your cars oil status. Put some new oil following the directions outlined in the owners manual and then, restart Your car to reset the oil light.
