The tire pressure reset procedure for the 2012 Chevrolet Sonic is the same for the years 2012 to 2019. Before doing the procedure You'll need to do a few things. First make sure You are parked with the engine off and that the tire pressure is correct which iS35 to 38 psi. Then drive the Sonic for a while at or above 20 mph. After doing all that park again then press the start/stop button for more than five seconds without depressing the brake pedal. Then find the turn signal and press the menu button until "VEHICLE" menu is displayed. Use the thumbwheel to find the "Tire Pressure" menu then press the SET/CLR button twice. Then You will take a relearn tool and use it to activate the TPMS sensor. After doing it to all tires turn the car off and then on.

To reset the tire pressure monitor or tpms system in your 2012 Chevy sonic vehicle, turn the ignition key to the "on" position and depress the tpms button, usually located under the dash, until the tpms light blinks several times. Start your vehicle and let it run for at least 20 minutes and your tpms system should be reset.
