Resetting the anti-theft system on Your 2012 Ford Focus is extremely easy to accomplish. It will only take around 5 to 8 minutes of Your time, if that. The first thing You will need to do is get into the driver's side of Your vehicle, and close the door. Make absolutely certain that all of the doors on Your vehicle are secured, to prevent accidental detection by the system. Next, unlock the driver's side door only, and place the physical key into the ignition. Turn it into the on position, without cranking the engine. Now, repeat turning it on and off a total of two more times. It will automatically reset the system once this is complete, and Your alarm is now armed to prevent intruders.

To reset the anti theft security alarm on the 2012 ford focus you need to lock all the doors, then unlock the driver side and put the key into the on position. Now turn it off and then back on twice and it will reset. If the immobilizer is messed up then the alarm will not work.
