Whether the mechanic failed to reset the light or You completed the maintenance work Yourself on Your Hyundai Genesis, this is a task You can easily take care of. It takes only a couple minutes and doesn't require any tools. Turn the ignition to the ON position, but don't start the engine. Locate the OK button in the cluster of controls on the right side of the steering wheel and press it for at least one second. The oil life should be reset to 100%. Turn the ignition off and then start the engine to make sure the reset was completed. If You need to reset or make changes to the service interval, use the scroll down button on the steering wheel to get to SERVICE INTERVAL. Select OK on the steering wheel. Here You can adjust distance and time using the directional keypad. Turn the ignition to off, and then start the vehicle. Go back to the menu to make sure the service interval previously selected has been saved.

To reset the oil light on the 2013 hyundai genesis you need to turn the key to on, but leave the engine off. Now find the oil button on the dash and hold it till it blinks.
