To reset the oil life on the 2016 Chevrolet Equinox it only takes a few steps that takes not much time at all. The procedure works for the years of 2009 until the year 2016. The very first thing You need to do is to to make sure You are parked safely and then turn the ignition to run which is right before the engine start position. Next You will need to press the menu button until the vehicle information menu is displayed, then scroll through the menu with the down button until "Remaining Oil Life" is selected. Press the set/clr to select then use the up or down button to select yes to reset. Then all You need to do is to confirm the reset by selecting the set/clr button.

To reset the oil level warning or maintenance light in your 2016 Chevy equinox vehicle, turn the ignition key to the "on" position and depress the gas pedal slowly three times. Release and start your vehicle and the oil light should indicate a reset.
