On a 2016 Chrysler 200, the tire pressure monitor system, TPMS, is a system that uses a sensor in the valve stem on each tire to wirelessly monitor the tire pressure on each wheel. The system uses an RF signal to exchange data about once per minute. If a sensor on Your vehicle reads a tire pressure below a certain amount it will show You a warning light on the dashboard. To turn that light off just refill the tire to the correct pressure and drive for 10-15 minutes at 15 mph or higher. At this point the sensor will re-read the pressure and turn off the light. These sensors do rely on battery power and will eventually need to be replaced but this only happens after 5 -6 years or use.

To reset the tpms on the 2016 chrysler 200 make sure the tire pressure is correct, then turn on the vehicle. Now hit the reset button that is to the right of the steering wheel and wait ten minutes. In some cases you may need to hold the button down till the light flashes. If the sensor is not working correctly then you may have tires with incorrect pressure, and the car can get bad performance.
